Obituary

Pearl (Salvatore) Fournier, beloved wife of Edward Fournier of Brockton, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, August 10, 2002, after a lengthy battle with cancer.

Born and educated in Brockton she had devoted her life to caring for her family. In later years, she had worked as a homemaker for Catholic Charities for several years.

Pearl and her husband shared a lifelong interest in dancing and were very involved with senior activities in and around Brockton. After her husband’s retirement from the Brockton Water Department, the couple traveled extensively throughout the United States and abroad, and went on a number of cruises. They celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on September 30, 2002, with a cruise to Bermuda.

In addition to her husband, Pearl is survived by two daughters, Elaine (Rogers) Medeiros of Bridgewater and Gail Campbell of Warwick, Rhode Island, two grandsons Jason and Joel Campbell of Warwick, Rhode Island and her son-in-law Warren Medeiros of Bridgewater.

She was the sister of Gloria Nowell of Brockton, Vincent Salvatore of Brandon, Vermont and the late Joseph Salvatore of Brockton. She also leaves eleven nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial service honoring her life, to be held at Calvary Chapel, 175 Market Street (Rte 123) Rockland on Tuesday August 20, at 6:00pm. Following the service, the family will meet with guests in the church fellowship room. A private graveside service will be held at Calvary Cemetery, Brockton. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the American Cancer Society or Old Colony Hospice of Stoughton.
