Obituary

Louis Itrato, age 83, of Somerville, died at home surrounded by his family on Thursday May 11, 2023. He was the beloved husband for over 50 years of Mary Agnes (Connelly) Itrato. Born in the North End of Boston, Louis was the son of the late Louis and Mary (DeFalco) Itrato. He was raised and educated in Boston and became a taxi driver.

His love for restaurants never wavered, he was a “foodie” and a restaurant's best and sometimes worst critic. Later in life Louis worked as a real estate agent. In his spare time, he enjoyed talking on the phone with relatives, playing cards, going to Wonderland Dog track and playing the numbers game.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Agnes (Connelly) Itrato of Somerville. He was the loving father of Natalie Stanizzi and her husband David of Tewksbury and the late Lorie Ann Itrato, and the dear grandfather of Ariana, Joseph, Julia, Ava,David and his great grandson Charlie.
