Following a brief illness, Robert M. Jarred of Bridgewater, passed away peacefully at South Shore Hospital, Weymouth on Thursday, May 4, 2023. Robert, known to family and friends as “Bob” was born and raised in Brockton, MA.
Bob resided in N. Redington Beach, FL and Myrtle Beach, SC, for many years before retiring from the United States Postal Service.
Bob was a proud Marine Veteran, an avid golfer, and a true New England Sports fan.
Preceded in death by his parents, Mary T. Quirk-Jarred, of Boston, and James Fred Jarred, of Morganfield, KY. Beloved brother to James of Easton, John (and his wife Tammy) of Carver, William and (his wife Kimberly) of Brockton, and Dennis of Brockton. Uncle to Jack, Jacob, Connor, William, Christian, Jordan (and her husband Kevin). As well as great nieces and a great nephew.
Remembered for his quick wit and forthright sense of humor, Bob will be greatly missed by family and friends.
Family and friends are respectfully invited to a Celebration of Life for Bob on Monday May 15, 2023 at the J. Frank Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street, Brockton from 4-6:30pm closing with a funeral service at 6:30pm. Burial Tuesday at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne, MA.
