WATSON, David L. Age 82, of Roslindale, sadly passed away on May 8, 2023. Beloved husband of Martha (McCormick) Watson, devoted father to Deirdre Watson O’Donnell, proud father-in-law of James O’Donnell, and adoring Papa to Vivian Watson O’Donnell. Graduate of Belmont High and Boston College. David was a long-time employee of Anheuser-Busch in Medford, MA. David enjoyed spending time with his family, practicing his talent for music including playing the guitar, and being a member of the Parkway YMCA.
Also survived by his sister, Arline Govan of Hingham, niece Maria Swanson and her husband Derrick Swanson, grand-nephews Travis and Hugh Swanson, nephew Matthew Govan and grand-niece Grace Govan.
David’s family thanks all the staff of Old Colony Hospice and the Dr. Ruth McLain Hospice House in Braintree for their kind and compassionate care. In lieu of flowers, donations in David’s memory may be made to Old Colony Hospice, 321 Manley St. West Bridgewater, MA 02379.
