Howard N. Wright, age 78, of Mansfield, formerly of Norton passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his loving family on Sunday, May 7, 2023. He was the beloved husband of Virginia (Teixeira) Wright, to whom he was wed for thirty-five years.
Born in Lackawanna, New York on January 17, 1945, he was a loving son of the late Howard Wright and Beatrice (Cargill) Mayes.
Howard grew up in New York, Ohio and Florida. Prior to retiring, he had been employed as a sheet metal foreman at Improved Consumer Products in Attleboro. He had formerly worked in the construction field and when younger as a mason worker.
He had made his home in Mansfield for the past eight years and was a former twenty-five years resident of Norton. Howard truly enjoyed spending time amongst family and friends.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his devoted children: Lorie Kelley and her husband Rick of Florida, Michael Wright of Florida and Mark Wright of Florida. He was the cherished grandfather of Melissa, Kate, Brianna and the great grandfather of Miles, Katherine, Charlotte and Taelyn. He was the dear brother of Eddy Wright of North Carolina, Helena Mae “Babe” Metcalf of North Carolina and the late Elton Wright and Patricia LaMontagne. He is also survived by his loving nieces and nephews.
Services and burial will be private and visiting hours are omitted.
