Mary T. (Parker) Deane, 70, died Sunday at her home after a long illness. She was the wife of the late Robert N. Deane. Born in Boston, she was a raised in South Boston and a graduate of Boston Schools. She was a resident of Brockton for over 30 years. Mrs. Deane worked as a Nurses Aide for the Embassy House Nursing Home in Brockton for over 17 years, retiring in 2000. In her free time, she enjoyed reading and spending time with her family and grandchildren.
She is survived by her children, Robert N. Deane and Terri Brown both of Randolph, Susan G. O’Sullivan and William H. Deane both of Brockton, Brian K. Deane of Salem, James R. Deane of Bridgewater, Carol A. Deane and Brenda L. Marible both of Brockton and Amy M. Deane of Bridgewater. She was the sister of Joan McDonald of Peabody and the late Frances Hamdeed, Patricia Stevens, Carlton Parker and Elizabeth Bassett. She is also survived by 24 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
Funeral Service will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Wednesday at 10 AM. Visiting Hours Tuesday 5-8 PM. Donations in Mary’s name may be made to Children’s Hospital, 500 Longwood Ave, Boston, 02215. Burial will follow at Knollwood Memorial Park, Canton.
