Robert Lee Provence, 92, of Anderson passed away on May 4, 2023 after a brief illness.
He was born April 23, 1931, to Leo and Lela Provence. Bob worked for, and later owned and operated, Provence Electric. In later years, he repaired and rescued countless vacuum sweepers, lamps, toasters, and other small appliances. In the 1970s, he created elaborate working displays for the Tri-Kappa Halloween Haunted House fund raisers with moving robots and whirling “saw blades.”
He and Rebecca Jane (Atwood) Provence were married for fifty-seven years until her passing in 2007. Bob and Becky have two daughters, Jana Hart and Elizabeth (Kevin) Eads, three grandchildren, Lindsey Eads (Nathan) Herrmann, Derek (Shelby) Eads, and Lauren (Chandler) Eads, and three great-grandchildren, William and Becca Herrmann and Willow Eads. Bob also is survived by his devoted loving partner, Evelyn Remmington.
Bob asked that he be cremated and that there be no visitation or service
