Linda Garrett Orman
July 19, 1944- May 3, 2023

Linda Garrett Orman, 78, of Anderson began her new life in Heaven on May 3, 2023 at Ascension St. Vincent’s Anderson following an extended illness.
She was born on July 19, 1944 in Economy, Indiana to Ora Ray and Viola Lynn (Replogle) Garrett. She graduated from Vernon Township High School in the class of 1962 and from Ivy Tech with an associate degree in Accounting.
She worked production at Delco Remy and retired as a production planner after 32 years. She was a member of UAW #662.
She was a member of Bethany Christian Church. She had a deep faith and loved doing her Bible study with her sisters, Margaret and Donna (AKA- the YaYas). Linda’s favorite saying was, “God and Family are everything.” She was a master gardener who loved her flowers and being outdoors. She was a former member of the Red Hat Society and The Heart Sisters.
She is survived by her three children, Tina (Jim Marroquin) Lewis of Anderson, Steve (Tammy) Lewis of Alexandria and Jeff (Aubrey) Cannaday of West Point, Indiana; three sisters, Margaret Hall and Donna (Courtney) Mainord all of Anderson and Carol (Dalas) Miller of Tennessee; 11 grandchildren who were her joy and sunshine, Joshua (Brandy) Wamble, Brittani (Rich) Mort, Breanne Lewis, Cody (Taylor) Riddle, Jordan Watkins, Dylan Lewis, Austin Lewis, Gwyneth Cannaday, Reagan Cannaday, Cecily Cannaday, and Della Cannaday; many beloved great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Roy “Dean” Orman who passed away in 2021; siblings, Doris Garrett, Eddie Ray Garrett, Russell Garrett, Norma Garrett, Nina Manley, Jody Fernung, and Margie Daughtery.
A funeral service will be at 1:00pm on Wednesday, May 10, 2023 at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service with Bob Bell officiating. The burial will follow in Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery.
The visitation will be from 11:00am- 1:00pm on Wednesday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be given to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
