Gladys E. (Merriam) Luddy, 85,died Saturday June 10th in the Wingate at Silver Lake, after a period of failing health. She was the wife of the late Arthur Luddy.
Born in Hanson, a daughter of the late John and Mary (MacKay) Merriam.
Mrs. Luddy lived most of her life in Whitman, a graduate of Whitman High.
She worked at Ocean Spray Company as a bookkeeper for 20 years before retiring.
She loved to play golf
She is survived by her children Gail Oleson of Hanson, Barbara Flynn of Mendon and James Luddy of Centerville; also 6 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild. She was also the sister of the late John Merriam.
Her funeral service will be held Wednesday June 14th in the Blanchard Funeral Chapel, Plymouth Street Rt.58 (at the rotary circle), Whitman, Ma. Visiting hours Tuesday June 13th 4-8.Burial will follow in the St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Rockland, MA.
