Pamela Mary (Baldwin) Matte, 75, passed away at her home on Monday, May 1, 2023, after a brief illness. Born on June 18, 1947, she was the beloved daughter of the late Ellsworth and the late Rita (O'Brien) Baldwin. Pamela was a lifelong resident of Lowell and a graduate of Lowell High School.
Although she had many interests, her true passion was crocheting, and she often created beautiful and intricate pieces in her spare time. However, nothing brought her more joy than spending time with her family, especially her beloved grandchildren. She was an exceptional mother and grandmother, whose love knew no bounds.
Pamela is survived by her eight children, Jeffrey Matte and his wife Pauline of Lowell, Christine Bergeron and her husband Donald of Londonderry, NH, Leon Matte and his wife Katrina of Hudson, NH, Jessica Heyl and her husband Christopher of Pennsylvania, Brian Matte of Lowell, Danielle Catton and her husband Charles of Franklin, NH, Mary Elizabeth Matte of Lowell, and Brandon Matte and his wife Elizabeth of Lowell. She also leaves behind her sister Maureen Leblanc and her husband Paul of Chelmsford, as well as her cherished fourteen grandchildren: Logan, Kaylee, Justyn, Jordan, Sarah, Emily, Alexander, Sophia, Isabella, Lilly, Kali, Peyton, Sam, and Owen.
In addition to her parents, Pamela was preceded in death by her brother Alan Baldwin.
You are welcome to attend her calling hours on Friday, May 5, 2023 from 9am until 11am at the McDonough Funeral Home, 14 Highland Street, Lowell, MA 01852.
Her funeral service will take place in the funeral home at the conclusion of the calling hours at 11am followed by procession to Pine Ridge Cemetery.
