William E. Bent 73, of Franklin died suddenly Monday June 5, 2006 at his home.
Born in Franklin, April 25, 1933 a son of the late Frank L. and Eva (Wiles) Bent, he was raised and educated in Franklin and was a lifelong resident.
Mr. Bent was a retired laborer for the department of Public Works for the Town of Franklin.
He served as a private in the Army during the Korean War.
He was a member of the Alphonse young American Legion Post #9, the Franklin Senior Citizens, and the American Association of Retired Persons.
He is survived by several area cousins, including Miss Rosina Bent of Franklin, Floyd Bent of Franklin, Iris Barstow of Alfred, Maine and Laurel Andrews of Bethleham New Hampshire.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral service with military honors Monday June 12, at 2PM at the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne, MA
