Robert “Bob” Bruce Smith
Buxton – Robert “Bob” Bruce Smith, 51, passed unexpectedly at his home in Buxton on April 23, 2023.
Bob was born May 28, 1971, in Portland to William F. and Darlene D. Smith. He is predeceased by his father. He was educated in Portland and Buxton schools, and earned an Associate in Arts degree from Southern Maine Community College.
Bob was a devoted father to his son Kaleb, contributing much time and resources to his upbringing. In addition to Kaleb, Bob enjoyed other aspects of his life such as gardening, fishing, and hunting. He was also noted for his dedicated enthusiasm for his favorite New England professional sports teams – Bruins, Patriots, Red Sox, and Celtics.
Besides his mother Darlene and son Kaleb, Bob is survived by his partner Kelly Whitten; his brother William T. Smith and his wife Alicia; nephew Billy Smith and his wife Amanda and their two children Zachary and Alexander; nephew Brandon Smith; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
A graveside service will be at Smith Cemetery in Windham at a later date.
