Obituary

Wallent of Clearwater, FL formerly of Brockton June 7, 2006 Joseph J. Wallent 88 years. Son of the late Joseph and Elizabeth (Grigas) Valentukevicius. Brother of the late Rose Fisher and Florence Nash. He is also survived by several nephews including Robert Fisher of Marshfield. He also leaves his dear friend and caregiver Angela M. Peterson of Clearwater, FL.
Funeral from the Conley Funeral Home 138 Belmont St. (Rte 123) Brockton Wednesday at 8 am. Funeral Mass in Our Lady of Lourdes Church at 9 am. Burial in Melrose Cemetery. Visiting hours Tuesday 6-8 pm.

Obituary
Mr. Wallent died Thursday in Clearwater, Florida after a brief illness. He was born and raised in Brockton a son of the late Joseph and Elizabeth (Grigas) Valentukevicius He had been a resident of Clearwater since 1978. Mr. Wallent was a graduate of Brockton High School and Bentley School of Accounting and Finance. He had been employed as a paper box salesman.
During WWII Mr. Wallent served in the US Army with the rank of 1st Lieutenant stationed in the Asiatic Pacific Theatre.
He was active in local politics and golf circles and was a member of D.W. Field Golf Club. Until his death he had been a member of American Legion Post 35 in Brockton.
He is survived by several nephews including Robert Fisher of Marshfield. He also leaves his dear friend and caregiver Angela M. Peterson of Clearwater, FL.
He was the brother of the late Rose Fisher and Florence Nash
