Obituary



Leicester – Nancy L. (Labelle) Carpenter, 73, of Leicester, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 23, 2023 in her home while surrounded by her family.

Nancy was born in Biddeford, ME daughter of the late Alfred J. and Pauline B. (Lefebvre) Labelle. Mrs. Carpenter was one of 16 children is widowed from her husband George J. Carpenter Sr. who died in 2002. She is survived by three daughters, Gail M. Mandel of Leicester, Nancy A. Carpenter of East Brookfield and Cecelia A. Carpenter of Leicester; a son, George J. Carpenter of Jamestown, TN; 4 brothers, Paul, Alfred Jr. and Nelson LaBelle all of Spencer and Gerard Dupuis of Millbury; 2 sisters, Mary Murray of Charlton City and Cecelia Shenette of Spencer; 13 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Nancy was predeceased by 8 brothers and a sister.

Nancy enjoyed watching Golden Girls and taking trips to the casino but she would never pass up the chance to play a game of cards, especially scat or left, front, center.

Nancy spent most of her life being with and taking care of her family and later in life she went to work as a manager for both Burger King and Wendy’s

A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Saturday, April 29 at 10:30 AM in Mary, Queen of the Rosary Church 7 Church St. Spencer (Please go directly to church). Calling hours will be held on Friday, April 28 from 5 to 7 PM in the Alfred Roy & Sons Funeral Home 12 Hammond St., Worcester. Memorial contributions in memory of Nancy may be made to the American Diabetes Association PO Box 7023 Merrifield, VA 22116.
