GILFORD ---- Gene Clarence Chase, 78, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Saturday, April 22, 2023, at Laconia Rehabilitation Center – Genesis.
Gene was born on July 19, 1944, the son of the late John Chase and Ethelbert (Colby) Chase.
Gene had a long and interesting life, working all over the state as a machinist. In his later years, he was a bingo caller and card dealer at a local casino. He was always tinkering and working on various projects his entire life. He loved his family, hunting of all sorts, sports, and riding his motorcycle.
Gene is survived by his sisters Mary and Barbara; his much-loved companion Pat Brown and their two dogs Foxy and Teddy of Gilford; his sons Shawn Chase and his wife Naisa of Belmont and Shayne Chase of Berlin. He was blessed with several grandchildren and a great-grandchild. In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his sister Phyllis; his brothers David and John “Sonny.”
