Jack J. Young, 79, of McCordsville, passed away at home on Saturday, April 22, 2023 following an extended illness.
He was born on June 24, 1943 in Anderson, the son of Jerome and Mabel (Fannin) Young. He was employed by Delco Remy Division of General Motors for 39 years, retiring in 2000. He attended Outlook Christian Church and enjoyed fly fishing and watching his grandchildren participate in their sporting events.
Jack is survived by his wife, Linda (Mendenhall) Young; two children, Stephanie (Kelley) Blair and Marcus (Kevin) Young; two grandchildren, Logan (Kaitlyn) Blair and Shelby (Ben) Slawta; two great grandchildren, Avery and Jackson Blair.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother, Ray Young.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 27, 2023 at 2:00 PM at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service with Pastor Rob McCord officiating. Burial will follow at Gravel Lawn Cemetery in Fortville.
Visitation will be held on Thursday at the funeral home from 12-2 PM prior to the funeral.
Memorial contributions may be given to the American Heart Association.
