WELLS- Mary Jane Shepard, age 66, wife of Stephen Shepard passed away peacefully at her home in Wells on April 20, 2023, after a 5 year battle with cancer. Mary was born to Luke and Peggy Lizotte of Rochester, NH She is predeceased by her parents and sister Kathleen Cote.
Mary is survived by her children Jennifer Pike and husband Al Pike, Jason Bennett and fiance Michelle Cotty, Amy Shepard, and Mindy Shepard, her grandchildren Cassidy, Mackenzie, Gauge, Mason, Peyton, Haley, and her great granddaughter Stella Blue, Mary's brothers Ervin Lizotte wife Kathy Tuttle, TJ Lizotte and wife Trish Lizotte and her sister Beth Lizotte, her in laws Christine Shepard, Tim Shepard and wife Roxanne Shepard, Lynn Shepard and husband Craig Thompson, her mother and father in-law Dexter and Fran Shepard, along with 16 nieces and nephews and her long time best friend Barbara Chase.
Mary was a simple woman who loved spending time with her family and friends. She enjoyed baking, fishing, watching her soap operas and we can't forget owls. She was a hard worker and loved her customers. She loved with all her heart, helped anyone she could, and had a spitfire attitude.
She touched countless lives and will be greatly missed by all..
There will be no funeral per her request. However, there will be a private celebration of life for her family and close friends.
