Obituary

Mr. James ‘Jim’ J. Kerrigan, a resident of Salem, New Hampshire, formerly of Andover, passed away with his family by his side, on Thursday, April 20, 2023. He was 76 years old.

Born in Winchester, Massachusetts, he was the beloved son of the late Joseph and Elizabeth (McEleney) Kerrigan. James was a US Air Force Vietnam Veteran, entering the military at Boston on April 5, 1966. James worked as a Ground Radio Operator serving two tours in Vietnam. He received his honorable discharge in 1969.

In civilian life, he worked as a Quality Control Engineer for B&W Associates. He was also a proprietor of QMI in Andover. James was an active man and loved to work on his cars, as well as boating and skiing with his family. Above all, he was a very proud father of his loving son and daughter. He will be dearly missed.

James is survived by his daughter, Elizabeth J. Kerrigan of New York, New York; son, James J. Kerrigan of Salem; and former wife and friend, Jane Kerrigan of Andover. James was the proud nephew of the late Arch Bishop John J. McEleney, S.J.

His Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Augustine Church, 43 Essex Street, Andover on Tuesday, April 25, 2023, at 11:00 AM. Visitation will be held, in the church, prior to the mass at 10:00 AM. Relatives and friends are most welcome to attend. Interment will be in the West Parish Garden Cemetery in Andover. All are welcome at the Andover Inn, 4 Chapel Street, Andover, MA, following the Interment.
