Obituary

Mr. Ernst Milfort was beloved husband, father, son, brother and friend. Ernst was called home on March 22,2023, at the tender age of 55. He was born on November 24, 1967, in Petion-Ville Haiti, to his parents Marie Therese Milfort and DieuJuste St. Fleur.

Ernst was the only living child of his mother and had five brothers and four sisters. He was a family man who cherished spending time with his loved ones, especially his wife Yolene Joachim-Milfort, whom he met in Haiti in 1998 and had been happily married for 23 years.

Ernst had a heart for peace and harmony, always seeking to resolve conflicts and bring people together. He had a caring spirit and would give the clothes off his back to the less fortunate Ernst was simply an exceptional human being who always aimed to be his best.

Ernst had a passion for mixing music and would spend hours crafting the perfect playlist. His friends would remember him as someone who was always willing to lend a helping hand. Ernst had an infectious sense of humor and a laid back personality that made him "the life of the party". Ernst was also a hard worker who was passionate about his work. He worked for US Airways until the events of 9/11, after which he worked at Tufts Dental School for over 10 years.

Ernst shared a special bond with his Mother, whom he loved dearly. He was always there for her and made sure she was well taken care of. He grew up in Fort Nationale/Post Marchand Haiti before moving wo the USA in 1999, where he attended Roxbury Community College.

One of Ernst greatest dreams was to start his own business and build his dream home in Haiti for his family. He was man of many talents, and his business ventures were no exception. He accomplished parts of his dream by moving back to Haiti and building a Plaza in Delmas 19 with 11 business storefronts and 2 rental apartments. Ernst also built his dream home with his wife in La Boule 12 Petion-Ville.

Ernst is survived by his Mother, Marie Therese Milfort, His Wife Yolene Joachim-Milfort, His children Marven Milfort, Tatiana Joachim-Milfort, Talink Taunusma-Milfort and Jeremiah Milfort, His granchildren Aulani Milfort and Zamachary Joachim-Xavier. He is also survived by the Milfort Joachim and St. Fleur family, who will all miss him dearly.

Ernst Milfort was an exceptional man who touched the lives of so many people. He was a devoted husband, loving father, caring son and a loyal friend. His presence will be deeply missed, but his memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
Funeral services were held on Thursday, April 20, 2023 at the Jubilee Christian Church, 1500 Blue Hill Ave., Mattapan.
Arrangements were entrusted to the Joseph Russo Funeral home of Roslindale.
