WORCESTER; Paul Jeffery Landry, 87, of Worcester Massachusetts, passed away Saturday, April 15, 2023 in UMass Memorial Medical Center after a long battle with heart failure.
Paul was born on April 24,1935, to the parents of Canadian Immigrants; Mary Rosella Callaghan (deceased 1991) and Jeffrey Alcide Landry (deceased 1943) in a family of six children.
Paul is survived by his three sons, Phillip, David, and James Landry, daughter Angela (Landry) Nelson, as well as several beloved stepchildren over a lifetime of love. He was known as Papa to his three grandchildren Daniel O’Leary, Erica (Landry) Palmer, and Tara (Landry) Hutchens, and two great grandchildren, Madison and Emmett. Many nieces, nephews, and extended family members. He also leaves his closest friend Janice St. Dennis who is a cherished angel sent by GOD to be his friend and neighbor for many years.
He was preceded in death by the mother of his five children Roberta Carlisle Gleason, second wife, Katherine McGilloway Landry, and his third wife Gaeton (Barca) Landry after 15 beautiful years of marriage, by his daughter Deborah (Landry) O’leary, along with his two brothers, William and Herbert Landry, and three sisters Anna Agniti, Mary McGee, and Bernice LaFlamme.
Paul was devout Catholic, deeply rooted in his faith. He was raised in Catholic school before moving on to proudly serve in the United States Marine Corps as an infantryman. After his years in the service, Paul worked as foundryman and talented carpenter. He loved to ballroom dance, gardening, baseball, talking about food, and staying active with friends.
A Memorial Mass will be held at Blessed Sacrament Church
55 Pleasant Street, Worcester. on Thursday April 20, 2023 at 11:00AM.
Burial will be held at the convenience of the family in St. John's Cemetery, Worcester.
Morin Funeral Home, 1131 Main Street Leicester is assisting the family with arrangements.
