Edith “Edie”(Arruda) Blake age 82, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family on April 13, 2023 at the Our Lady’s Haven in Fairhaven. She was the wife of the late Ronald Francis Blake, and the daughter of the late Manuel and Alice (Oliveira) Arruda.
In her free time, Edie enjoyed reading, knitting and crocheting in addition to planning cookouts and holiday get togethers. Most importantly, Edie will be remembered for her devout faith and the prayers she said for everyone.
Edie is predeceased by her first husband, Eli Charron, Sr and their daughter, Ellen. As well as her brother, Manuel Arruda and sister, Arlene Payton. She is survived by her sister, Lisa Flynn, as well as her daughter Elise Lachance of Fall River MA, Elonie Bezanson and son-in-law Brian of Whitman MA, son Eli Charron, Jr. and daughter-in-law Kim of Durham, NC and son Elan Scott Charron and daughter-in-law Jacqui, of Rochester, MA. She was the devoted grandmother of Brandi Charron, Nichelle Watkins, Jamie and Ryan Moniz. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and great grandchildren.
Visiting hours will be held at the Conley Funeral Home 138 Belmont St.(rte. 123) Brockton on Wednesday April 19, 2023 from 4-7pm. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, April 20, 2023 at 10am. Burial in Cedar Knoll Cemetery in Taunton. Edith’s family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in her name to Our Lady’s Haven Activity Fund, 71 Center Street, Fairhaven, MA 02719.
