Teresa M. Shannon of Dedham April 14, 2023, surrounded by her family. Terri, as she was known, was a mother and a nurse for over 50 years to Riverdale, Somerset Village Orlando, and to all.
Terri loved the Boston Bruins even continuing to follow them for all the years she lived in Orlando. She enjoyed making crafts, including ceramic Christmas trees (if you were lucky to receive one), cross stitching and knitting hats for the homeless.
Predeceased by her beloved husband Leonard P. Shannon. She leaves behind their children Joseph Shannon, of Elko, Nevada, Kevin Shannon and his wife Linda of Franklin, Brian Shannon of Walpole, Beth (Shannon) Sheehan and her husband Robert of Norwood, Claire (Shannon) Sabino and her husband Paul of Dedham, and Christopher Shannon and his partner Hilary Moll of Wrentham. Grandchildren are Michael, Brian, Colin, Abbey and Timothy Shannon, also, Erin and Robert Sheehan. Survived by several great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held at the George F. Doherty & Sons Wilson-Cannon Funeral Home, 456 High St., Dedham on Thursday, April 20 from 8:30-10:00 am followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Mary’s Church, Dedham at 10:30 am. Relatives and friends kindly invited. Interment in Brookdale Cemetery, Dedham.
