Obituary

Pasquale, (Pat) Belcastro "Poncho" of Woburn, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on April 11, 2023, at 89 years of age. A loving husband, devoted dad, grandfather “Mono”, brother, uncle and friend. He is the beloved husband of Carol (Morcombe) Belcastro. Born in Arlington, MA on March 10, 1934 and was the son of the late George and Angelina (Carella) Belcastro from Calabria, Italy.

As kid growing up in Medford, he was given nickname "Poncho", which he is known to family and friends, as it has stuck with him all through his life. After leaving Medford, he enlisted in the United States Air Force and was honored to serve our country during the Korean War and remained a proud US Veteran.

Pat later moved to Woburn with his wife Carol and their daughter, Linda where he worked as a self- employed bricklayer. He was exceptional in his trade and took great pride in all of the local masonry work he built and so fondly pointed out all over Woburn and beyond. Once he retired, he kept busy driving privately and for a local livery service. His knowledge of the Boston area and his narrated history tours throughout Boston on airport runs delighted his customers. He enjoyed playing poker, trips to Foxwoods, reading, Dean Martin songs and watching games shows where his whip smart memory and vast knowledge was evidenced. He was a regular at Dunkin Donuts in North Woburn and met regularly with his buddies’ early mornings to drink coffee and chat. In recent years, his niece Linda White helped with his care and continued to take him on coffee runs to see his pals.

Pat loved to spend time with his family. Over the years he took many trips to Northern Virginia to visit his daughter and her family. He especially loved his grandchildren, Victoria and Steven and was always ready to share a picture and story with great pride.

Pat is survived by his wife Carol of Woburn, his daughter Linda Holcombe of Sterling, Va. Loving grandfather, known as Mono to Steven Holcombe of Sterling, VA and Victoria Holcombe and fiancé Nick Delgado of Jamestown, NC. He was the devoted brother of John Belcastro of Woburn, and the late Sammy Belcastro, Al Belcastro, Nancy LeBlanc, Joe Belcastro, and Ann Diorio. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be conducted in the McLaughlin - Dello Russo Family Funeral Home, 60 Pleasant St., WOBURN, Saturday, April 15th, at 11 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend and may visit with the family prior to the service from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Services will conclude with Military Honors and burial at Woodbrook Cemetery, Woburn.
