Today, March 31, 2023, the sun has set on the earthly life of Helen Huley, born Helen Marie Phillips in Brooklyn, NY in 1930. Helen, fondly considered by many to be the Matriarch of the Huley and Ford families, passed away peacefully at the age of 93 in Quincy, MA. Helen leaves behind three children, Kathy McKinney, John Huley, and Maureen Keough. A fourth child, Christine Huley, passed-away suddenly in 2022. Helen was raised in Brooklyn, NY with four siblings; Dr. Paul Phillips, Natalie (a.k.a.DoDo) McDonald, Janet Good, and Joan Delphia who will celebrate her arrival at the pearly gates. Helen Huley was mostly delighted to see her eight grandchildren; Ben and Alex Bielefeld, Brianna McKinney, Christine Keough, Caroline Keough, Sean Huley, Patrick Huley and Radel Huley. Raised during the Great Depression, Helen spoke of tough times. She was determined to attain her nursing degree and did so at a young age. She maintained her passion to care for people her whole life. Yes, that's our mom. Classy and stylish. Helen Huley became manager of the Palm Beach Blood Bank where she served the public for over 20 years. She was an uncomplicated woman. A lovely woman. She loved her family, and her family loved her. Helen loved her God and was a devout Catholic. The Huley family extends our thanks for the many comments of love for Helen, and we pray your prayers and kindness be returned many times over, as Helen would unselfishly "pass it on". A memorial service for Helen will be announced in the near future.
