Obituary

A life well Lived

It is with heavy hearts that we share the sudden passing of David Charles Fletcher of Harwich on March 24 2023. He fought a courageous short battle with metastasize melanoma.

David Fletcher aka “Dave The Dude “ was born on January 29, 1963 in Ewa Beach Hawaii To the late Kenneth and Peggy (Reddington) Fletcher. ( you all know how David loved his momma ). Being born in Hawaii he was given the birth name Kawika.

He is brother to the late Nancy Collito and survived by 4 siblings. Cindy boffoli , Dianne Jackson , Kenny Fletcher and Lisa Fletcher.

Dave was a loving father to His son Timothy Fletcher 41 and wife Amanda.

Loving father to daughter Jillian Fletcher 36. A close bond that only a daughter can have.

He also shared a very special relationship with his grandchildren’s parents Lincoln Green and late Erica lopes. Both were as loved by him as if they were his children.


He also was “Papa Dave” to his four grandchildren which he loved so much. The oldest (20) Novayah Lee Fletcher ~ His only grandson Lincoln Michael Green 16 ~ Ava Marie Green 12 and Jordan Fletcher 11 which he referred to as cousin twins.

Also known as “Papa Dave “ to the Green grandchildren ~ Paul, Marissa , Pj , Lydia , Leo & Preston. As well as the entire Green family.

survived by his former wife, Teresa Anne Fletcher (Thomas) who remained a close friend.

He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, grand nieces, and grand nephews.
Dave graduated from Cape Cod regional technical high school in 1981 with a certificate in carpentry which was one of his passions. He owned his own finish carpentry business for many years. Affiliated with a lot of Cape Cod builders, if you were lucky enough to have Dave do carpentry for you it was meticulously and beautifully done. Recently, he was working on HGTV “Houses with History and found great joy in restoring houses. He was extremely proud of all of his workmanship throughout his career.

He was also passionate about photography. He had an amazing gift for capturing special moments. And had an exceptional eye of nature and people.

He also loved music and was a groupie for many local bands. He loved hanging out with his friends and childhood buddies that knew him since he grew up on the Cape.(remember how he rocked the house on venus road )
He also loved camping, boating, and water tubing with his family every summer.
He was the member of the Cape Cod surf riders club and loved the ocean. He was blessed with so many friends.
A special thanks to Mike (lefty), Sal and Andy who was with Dave and family during this most difficult time.
A celebration of life will be held on May 13 2023 at 12:00 Pm at the Moose Lodge 769A rte 28 in South Yarmouth Mass 02664.

Dave’s passing leaves us devastated and heartbroken with a huge void in our hearts that will never be filled. We will undeniably miss him beyond words, but his legacy and love will live through us all. As said to Lefty before he passed away “you know what the world needs? MORE LOVE ??”
