DANVERS - Emily V. “Millie” (Ziomek) Carlman, 82, of Danvers, passed away on Monday, June 5, 2006 in Beverly Hospital following a long illness. She was the beloved wife of the late Carl H. Carlman.
Born and raised in Peabody, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Aniela (Idzik) Ziomek.
Emily enjoyed dancing and listening to all forms of music. After the passing of her dearly beloved husband, Emily became an avid golfer and played in many local tournaments.
Emily is survived by her loving sister, Caroline “Lola” Busta of Peabody, her niece, Kathleen and husband Francis Britch of Brownington, Vermont, and her nephews, William L. Busta, III of Manchester and Michael D. Busta of Salem.
She was predeceased by two sisters, Josephine Dooley and Bernice Sherry.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday, June 9, 2006 at 10:00 am at St. John The Baptist Church, 28 St. Peter St., Salem. Prior to the Mass, a visitation will be held at the church, from 9 to 10 am. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. At the family’s request, burial at Greenlawn Cemetery will be private/ In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in Emily’s name to the UPO Scholarship Fund, 44 Pulaski St. Peabody, MA 01960. Emily had a bright personality and a cheerful disposition. She will be sadly missed by her family, friends and staff at the Harborside Cedar Glen Nursing Home in Danvers where she was a resident for almost two years. “That’s for sure!”
