Olga Maria Rombeiro, 93, passed away peacefully at her home in Dracut on Wednesday, March 29, 2023, surrounded by her family.
Olga was born on July 6, 1929, in Sao Miguel, Azores, Portugal, and grew up and was educated there. She was a seamstress by trade and worked in that profession in the Azores before immigrating to the United States with her family in 1976. They lived in Columbus, Ohio, for a few years before settling in Lowell and later Dracut, where Olga resided since 1985. She was a long-time member of Saint Anthony’s Church.
Olga loved sewing clothes for herself, family, and close friends. She enjoyed spending time with her family and was particularly fond of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. For many years, she worked as an assembler for Hewlett Packard.
Olga is survived by her son, Heli Rombeiro and his wife, Agueda of Dracut; her grandchildren, Edward Rombeiro of Dracut and Mark Rombeiro of Merrimack, NH; and her great-grandchildren, Marcus Rombeiro, Alexis Rombeiro, and Sophie Rombeiro. She was predeceased by her daughter, Maria Teresa Rombeiro, and her sisters, Isaura McCann and Maria Soares.
Her visitation will be held on Thursday, April 6, 2023, from 9-11 a.m. at McDonough Funeral Home, 14 Highland Street, Lowell.
A funeral service will follow at 12 noon at St. Anthony Church, 893 Central Street, Lowell, with burial to follow at the Varnum Cemetery in Dracut.
