FRANKLIN—Mrs. Helen R. (Macko) Corey 87, died Sunday June 4, 2006 at the Medway Country Manor Nursing Home following a long illness. She was the wife of the late James C. Corey Sr. who died in 1974.
Born in Stafford Springs, Conn. December 11, 1918 a daughter of the late William and Josephine (Jankowski) Macko, she lived in Franklin most of her life.
She was educated in Medway schools, and until her retirement in 1995 had worked as a cafeteria worker for the Franklin Public Schools for more than 30 years.
She was a member of the Franklin Senior Citizens, The American Association of Retired Persons, and was a communicant of St. Mary’s Church.
She is survived by a son, James C. Corey Jr. of Medfield, a brother William Macko of Nebraska, 2 sisters Yetta Palladini of Lincoln, Rhode Island and Sophie Solan of Plainville, and 2 grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral on Thursday June 8, 2006 at 8:15AM from the Charles F. Oteri & Son Franklin Funeral Home 33 Cottage St. FRANKLIN with a funeral Mass in St. Mary’s Church at 9AM. Interment will follow in the family lot in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
Calling hours are Wednesday June 7, 2006 from 4-8PM at the funeral home.
