Irene Virginia (Guy) Rodier, 89, of Lawrence passed away on Wednesday, March 22, 2023, at Mary Immaculate Nursing and Restorative Center. The daughter of the late Oscar and Marie Laura (Jerome) Guy, she was born in Lawrence on October 8, 1933, and had been an area resident all her life. She was a Family Childcare Home Educator at Community Day Care of Lawrence. Irene was a member of the former St. Anne Parish and of St. Mary Parish in Lawrence. She was a Eucharistic minister at St. Mary Church, taught CCD at St. Anne and St. Mary Parishes, and worked at St. Mary Pre-school. She also helped to make prayer shawls while at Mary Immaculate Nursing and Restorative Center. Her greatest loves were being a foster parent and spending time with her family. The widow of Emile Rodier Sr., Irene was also predeceased by her adoptive daughter Melissa Rodier. She is survived by her daughter, Marie-Therese and her husband Sebastian Scuderi of Methuen and adopted daughters Jennifer Rodier of Lawrence, MA, and Crystal Alvarado of Wichita, KS. Four sons: Emile Rodier Jr. and his wife Iris of Salem, NH, Guy Rodier and his wife Linda of Salem, NH, Richard Rodier and his wife Virginia of Haverhill, and Michael Rodier and his wife Cristi of Exeter, NH. There are fifteen grandchildren: Angela, Sebastian Jr. Felicia, Justin, Leah, Danny, Carlos, Stevie, Corey, Zayden, Elijah, Alexander, Emily, Ivan, and Scarlet, seven great-grandchildren: Logan, Leland, Maddix, Asher, Cole, Brent, and Gavin and several nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are invited to attend visiting hours on Tuesday from 9:00 am to 10:30 am on Tuesday, March 28, 2023 at Edgar J. Racicot Inc. Funeral Home, 1400 Broadway Rd., Dracut.
