Obituary

Fall River – Lisa Branco Bellavance, 35, of Fall River, died peacefully in her home on Tuesday morning, surrounded by her loving family. She had been battling brain cancer for several years. She was the wife of Kevin Bellavance.

Lisa was born in Fall River, daughter of Antonio D. and Constance (Silva) Branco of Westport, and grew up in Westport and has always considered it her hometown. She was a parishioner of Our Lady of Grace Church in Westport. In 1988, Lisa graduated from Westport High School and was the treasurer of her graduating class. After graduating from Bristol Community College, she earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst in 1992. Following graduation, she moved to Houston, TX, where she taught third grade for two years. Upon returning home, she was a Title I Math teacher in the Fall River Public Schools. She previously worked at the Massachusetts Migrant Education Summer Program for over 10 years. Lisa was an avid Red Sox and NASCAR fan, and enjoyed camping at Horseneck Beach with her husband Kevin and many friends.

Besides her loving husband Kevin and her parents, she is survived by a brother: Anthony D. Branco of Westport; a sister: Tracy A. Branco of Fall River; 2 godchildren: Krystal McConnell and Cloey Ann Narciso; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Funeral to which relatives and friends are invited will be Friday from the POTTER FUNERAL HOME, 81 Reed Rd., Westport at 9:00 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Grace Church, Westport at 10:00 A.M.

Calling hours Thursday 2 – 4 & 6 – 8 P.M. Interment will be private.
