Salem: Thomas L. Cadoret age 84 of Salem, died Sunday at the Grosvenor Park Nursing Home in Salem.
Born in Peabody, he was the son of the late Thomas J. and Marie A. (Barbeau) Cadorette. He was a graduate of Mount St. Charles Academy in Rhode Island and enlisted in the Navy at the beginning of W.W.II. He served as an Aerographer’s Mate, 1st class in the Atlantic Fleet Weather Central and was aboard the USS Susan B. Anthony when it was lost in the Normandy invasion on D-Day. Following the war he returned to Salem and over the years has worked as a contractor and land developer on the Northshore. Tom will be remembered for his wonderful sense of humor.
He is survived by 2 sons: David L. Cadoret of Minneapolis, MN, Paul H. Cadoret and his wife Anne of Danvers, a daughter: Julie McMillen-Murphy and her husband Edward A. Murphy of San Francisco, CA, his grand-daughter: Melissa A. McMillen also of San Francisco, also nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his former wife Lorraine M. (Deschamps)
Zukowski, and 4 sisters: Marie Plamondon, Emma Toomey, Theresa Wilner and Pauline Ward.
Relatives and friends are invited to his funeral on Friday at 9 am from the Levesque Funeral Home, 163 Lafayette St., Salem [Rt. 114 / 1-A] followed by his funeral mass in St. James Church, Federal St., Salem at 10 am. Visiting hours: Thursday 5 to 7:30 pm. Burial will be private and at a later date.
