Obituary

Brian Michael Liberacki, age 35, of Wilmington, passed away on March 13, 2023, after a long illness. Born in Stoneham, he was the son of Michael John and Colleen Marie (Smith) Liberacki of Wilmington.

Brian was raised in Wilmington, where he lived with his family for 22 years, then resided at New England Pediatric Care in North Billerica since 2009, where he was taken such good care of for the last 13 years.

His contagious, well-known smile was an inspiration to many, and his beautiful strawberry-blonde hair was the envy of all. He loved to laugh, watch SpongeBob SquarePants and wear his Patriots gear to show support for the team. His poignant presence will be missed.

Brian’s bright light and contagious smile were an inspiration to many. His sister, Kristin, shared, “This morning our immediate family of 5 lost an integral puzzle piece with the passing of my brother. Brian, thanks for showing me what unconditional love is, even when I was the least deserving of it... thanks for making our family unique and being the older sibling to my middle child ranking; I'll miss your smiles, picking out your clothes and your random noises. I hope you're sitting with Grammy and have Whiskers on your lap, because that sounds like heaven to me. I'll see you in my dreams until I see you on the other side.”

Brian’s struggles provided moments of contemplation and his example of courage was a tool for those who loved him to live in the moment, treasure the good times and share a sense of gratitude. His father Michael stated, “Once again, thank you all so very much for all of your thoughts, prayers, and love! Brian has them tucked away in his heart and soul along his way to Heaven. We are so deeply saddened that Brian passed away shortly after 7 AM this morning, in the loving arms of Mom and Dad, and surrounded by family throughout his courageous battle with such a devastating illness. All of your support and love has, and always will be, forever gratefully appreciated and cherished.”

In addition to his devoted parents Michael and Colleen, Brian is lovingly survived by his sisters Kristin Liberacki of Dundee, FL and Elizabeth (Liberacki) Hesson and her husband John of Natick. Brian also leaves behind his grandmother, Carole Liberacki of Wilmington and many caring relatives, friends and caregivers.
