Obituary




Mary L. (Pontremoli) Bottari passed away at the Massachusetts General Hospital of Boston on March 11th. She was 90 years old. Born and raised in Boston’s North End, she was the daughter of the late Daniel and Albina (Solari) Pontremoli.

A Medford resident for most of her life, Mary was a devoted and loving wife, mother and dear friend to many. She worked for many years with Stop and Shop as a quality control supervisor. Her main focus in life was her family. She kept a lovely home and looked forward to cooking delicious meals. Mary always had music playing at home and enjoyed watching movie musicals and music related TV shows. She was a devout woman of deep faith who loved to go to church. She also always found time to go shopping, keeping up with the latest fashion and finding the best sales.

The beloved wife of the late Joseph J. Bottari, she was a devoted mother to Nina Maloney and her husband Vincent of Medford and the late Andrew Bottari. She was a dear sister of the late Louis, Edward, Joseph, John and Anthony Pontremoli. She also leaves many nieces and nephews.

Her funeral will be from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, Thursday March 16th at 9 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Clement Church, 71 Warner Street, Medford, at 10 AM. Services will conclude with burial at Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend and may visit with the family at the funeral home on Wednesday, 4 - 7 PM.
