BUXTON- Carl O. Churchill Sr., age 82, passed away on March 10, 2023.
He was born in Portland on May 28, 1940, a son of the late Elvry and Marie (Oliver) Churchill.
He graduated from S.D. Hanson High School and the Boston Broadcasting School.
Over his working years, Carl worked for F.S. Plummer, and owned and operated Churchill Construction and the Powder & Patch Gun Shop in Buxton.
He enjoyed coordinating Halloween events at his home, was an avid model maker, and enjoyed working on model railroads.
He was a member of the Maine Garden Railway Society and served as the President for many years.
Besides his parents, Carl is predeceased by his brothers- Donald and Richard Churchill.
Carl is survived by his beloved wife- Patricia (Phillips) Churchill; five children; ten grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday March 17 from 1 – 2 PM, followed by a 2 PM funeral service at the Chad E. Poitras Cremation and Funeral Service Chapel, 498 Long Plains Road (Rt. 22) in Buxton.
