Obituary

Bianca R. (Ferretti) Palmieri 45, of Franklin, passed away peacefully, surrounded by loved ones, at her home Saturday March 11, 2023, following a courageous 4 year battle against breast cancer. She was the beloved wife of Nicholas J. Palmieri, together as a couple for almost 23 years, they were married for over 17.

Born February 27, 1978, in Nueva Concepción, El Salvador, the daughter of Joseph Ferretti of Natick and the late Lina (Silva) Ferretti, she was a former resident of Natick until moving to Franklin in 2006 and establishing her home.  She was raised and educated in Natick and was a graduate of Natick High School Class of 1997. She then continued her education at Northeastern University graduating in 2001 with a degree in Psychology. Bianca was a special education teacher in the Reach Program at Oak Street School in Franklin.

She was a devoted wife and mother who cherished her family.  Bianca was a natural protector, who adored her children and was so proud of all of their accomplishments.  She enjoyed loudly cheering on her kids at their sporting events, cooking from family recipes, traveling, gardening and her flowers, and special trips to Maine for shopping and an intimate dinner with her "Sissy", Lisa.  Bianca could be found curled up on the couch reading a book or under the warmth of a blanket simply watching TV, another love in her life.  Bianca also had a knack of constantly finding hearts in everyday objects, gems in life that she always wanted to share with others.  Her loving nature was felt by her excitement to see people and the way she hugged, kissed and said "I love you" at every departure.

In addition to her husband she is survived by her precious children, Nicholas J. Palmieri, Jr. and Isabella R. Palmieri of Franklin, a sister Lisa R. (Ferretti) Cogliano of Natick and in-laws, including MaryEllen Palmieri, David Cogliano, Gary and Kerry Palmieri, and Jason Palmieri.

Known as Auntie Bianca or "Gaga", her giant heart and loving spirit will always be remembered and greatly missed by Owen, Kyle and Jackson Palmieri of Franklin, Bailey Palmieri of Florida and JD, Tate, Max, Gabriella and Dominic Cogliano of Natick. Additionally her spirit was felt by many extended family members locally and in Italy.  The love and caring she gave was reflected in the tremendous outpouring of support and generosity of Bianca's family, friends, co-workers and the community of Franklin during her illness.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral Friday March 17th, at 9AM from the Charles F. Oteri and Son Franklin Funeral Home 33 Cottage St. followed by a funeral Mass in St. Mary's Church, 1 Church Square Franklin at 10AM.
