WEBSTER – Norma S. (Snay) Paul, 88, died Thursday, March 9, 2023 in Hartford Hospital after a short illness.
She leaves her husband of 66 years, Wilfred J. “Tony” Paul; a son, James L. Paul of Dudley; a daughter, Lori A. Krikorian and her husband David of Paxton; 3 grandchildren, Katie Paul of Atlanta, GA, Meghan Krikorian of Charleston, SC and Brian Krikorian of Paxton; a sister Jeannette; nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her daughter-in-law, Mary P. (Deary) Paul in 2016 and by her sister Jacqueline Duverger.
She was born at home in Dudley on June 26, 1934, a daughter of Albert A. and Laura M. (Lacroix) Snay and graduated from Oxford High School in 1952. She moved to Webster in 1957.
Norma first worked in the office at Worcester Knitting Company and then was a clerk at the former Jean Cyr’s Variety Store and at Holly Farms, both in Webster. She was the housekeeper at Sacred Heart rectory for 8 years, retiring in 1996.
Mrs. Paul was a communicant of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church and served as the secretary and treasurer of the Ladies of Saint Anne for many years. She was also a weekly adorer at the Blessed Sacrament Chapel. She enjoyed bowling in the Thursday Morning Coffee League at the Mohegan Bowlarama and playing in the Ladies’ Pitch League at the TSKK. She loved knitting, crocheting and sewing and created many items for infants and friends as well as for cancer patients for many years.
Norma was dedicated to her husband and children and especially to her grandchildren.
Her funeral will be held Friday, March 17, from the Sitkowski, Malboeuf & Hickey Funeral Home, 340 School Street, with a Mass at 10:00 AM in Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, 16 East Main Street. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family. Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Thursday, March 16, in the funeral home.
