Obituary

Germaine (Ehlert) DeMinico, 'loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother', originally from Hanson, passed away peacefully on March 6, 2023, after a long fight with Alzheimer's disease at the age of 86 years. She was residing at Plymouth Harborside Healthcare in Plymouth, MA for the past 5 years.

She was a homemaker for most of her adult life then worked for many years as a teacher's aide for special needs children in the Hanson school system.

She was a graduate of Pembroke High School.

She loved doing various crafts, which included ceramics, wreath making and painting. She managed and bowled on the Hanson Fire Fighters bowling league for many years.

She was married for over 50 years to her late husband, Joseph. They shared a lovely home in Hanson along with their 4 daughters.

She is survived by Kathy Killion and her husband, John from Carver, MA, Cheryl DeMinico from Plymouth, MA, Susan Dana and her husband, Jason from Lynn, MA, and Laurie Campbell and her husband, William who now reside in Cape Coral, FL. She is also survived by 2 grandchildren, Hillary Tura and her husband, Michael from Nahant, MA and Erik Dana from Plymouth, MA. She is also survived by 2 great grandchildren, Fiona Grace Tura and Luca Paul Tura from Nahant, MA. She is also survived by one remaining brother, Richard Ehlert, living in Vermont. She is survived by many nieces and nephews along with numerous friends.

Family and friends are invited to attend her visiting hours on Friday, March 10th from 4:00-7:00 p.m. in the Blanchard Funeral Chapel, Plymouth Street (Rte. 58 @ the rotary) Whitman, MA. Her funeral service and burial will be private to family.
