NORTH GROSVENORDALE, CT – Mildred D. “Millie” (Gaboury) Wonoski, 83, died Sunday, February 19, 2023 at home with family at her side. She was predeceased by her husband of 35 years, William Wonoski, by her stepson Kevin Wonoski and by her sister Delia Rousseau.
She leaves 5 children, Linda Theocles and her husband George of Springfield, MA, Louis Barone III of North Grosvenordale, Patricia Ortiz of Putnam, Mary Stoico of North Grosvenordale, and Kelley Horan of Webster, MA; 13 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren; 5 siblings, Joan, Frannie, Cliff, Paul and Norman; 3 sisters-in-law, Cindy, Debbie and Tui; her daughter-in-law, Carol Wonoski; her longtime friend Barbara; and many nieces, nephews and friends. She also leaves her beloved Cairn Terrier Felix.
She was born on June 14, 1939 in Woodstock, the daughter of Clarence and Lillian (Farrows) Gaboury and was raised on Chase Avenue in Dudley, MA. She moved to North Grosvenordale in 2000.
Mrs. Wonoski was a store manager at local department stores in the area before retiring.
She enjoyed golfing, playing pitch and bowling. Her family was her treasure.
A funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, March 2, at 11:00 AM in Saint Louis Church, 14 Lake Street, Webster (please meet at the church). Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Dudley. Arrangements are under the direction of Scanlon Funeral Service, 38 East Main Street, Webster.
