Obituary

John G. Panacy, 84, died at the Caritas Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton on Saturday, June 3. He was the husband of Lucy (Gambrazzio) Panacy for 59 years. Born in Brockton, Mr. Panacy was a graduate of Brockton High School. He was a resident of Stoughton for over 50 years. Mr. Panacy was a highly decorated U.S. Army Veteran of World War II. He was an antique dealer for over 50 years, mainly in the Stoughton and Bridgewater area. Mr. Panacy was a member of the VFW Post 1645 in Stoughton. He loved cooking for his grandchildren and loved antiques since his childhood.

In addition to his wife, Mr. Panacy is survived by his son, Brian D. Panacy and his wife Lisa of Stoughton, as well as his grandchildren, Cari-Lyn, Victoria, Olivia, Anna and Talia and his great-grandson, Nathan. He is also survived by his sisters, Catherine Timnick of Brockton and Helen Hurd of NM, as well as several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son, John A. Panacy and his siblings, Mildred Buckley, Glady Chirokas and James Panacy.

Funeral Prayers will be offered from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Wednesday, June 7 at 10 AM. Visiting Hours Tuesday 5-8 PM. Burial will take place at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Stoughton. Donations in John‘s name may be made to the American Heart Assn., 20 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701.
