Obituary








Dung Ngoc Pham, 88, of Worcester died Friday, February 3rd at home surrounded by his loving family. He leaves his wife of 70 years, Yen Thi Nguyen; his children, Tien Pham of Camarillo, CA, Thanh Pham and his wife, Nhi of Worcester, and Hai Pham Vo and her husband, Tan Vo of Corona, CA; eight grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.
He was born in Hanoi, Vietnam and worked for the South Vietnam police force. After the fall of Saigon on April 30, 1975, he came to the United States with his family as refugees and worked for Parker Manufacturing for many years, retiring in 1991. Following retirement, Dung worked part-time at TJMaxx Distribution Center.
Dung enjoyed spending time outside in nature where he loved to garden and walk. He had a craft for manicuring his home’s front bushes and keeping his yard neat. He loved to travel, travelling to Vietnam a total of 42 times. He was known for his sweet tooth and he and his wife would often walk to Big Y Market, their most favorite grocery store to buy those sweets among other foods he enjoyed. Most importantly, Dung cherished all the time he spent with his family and close friends.
His funeral is Saturday, February 11th with a service beginning at 9 a.m. in O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue. Cremation will follow in Rural Crematory, 180 Grove Street. Visitation is Friday, February 10th from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
