Obituary

Former Crossing Guard at St. Francis De Sales School in Charlestown, Mary (Bradley) Fullerton-Walsh, a resident of Salem, New Hampshire and formerly of Charlestown and Shandrum, County Donegal, Ireland, entered into eternal life on Thursday, February 2, 2023 at her son's home in Haverhill. She was 98 years of age.

Mary was born in Shandrum, County Donegal, Ireland on May 6, 1924, a daughter of the late James and Mary Bradley. She grew up on her family farm in Shandrum and was educated there in her small town. On October 12, 1954, Mary along with her 4 year old son Patrick immigrated to the United States to meet her husband and they settled in Charlestown. Mary was a fixture at the top of Bunker Hill St. in Charlestown for so many years enjoying her daily routine of crossing the students of St. Francis De Sales School 3 times a day during school hours. She took pride in her work and made sure the students were safe for several generations. She retired as a School Traffic Supervisor for the City of Boston following over 25 years of dedicated service and commitment to the children of Charlestown. Mary was also a seamstress and enjoyed her Irish roots and dancing to Irish music. Mary was very proud of her 2 sons who she adored throughout her life and then enjoyed their families and was always looking forward to spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Mary is the beloved wife of the late Edward Fullerton and John J. Walsh. She is the devoted mother of Patrick J. Fullerton and his wife Sandra and Edward Fullerton and his wife Ellen. She is the loving Nana and Granny to Patrick and his wife Julia Fullerton, Elizabeth Fullerton, Mary Fullerton, Neil and his wife Andrea Fullerton, Maureen and her husband Jeffrey Roberts, Theresa Fullerton and her great-grandchildren Owen and Keegan Fullerton. She is the beloved sister of Joseph Bradley, Daniel Bradley, Michael Bradley, Edward Bradley, Dinah McLaughlin, Kathleen Shea and the late Eileen Devlin, Neil Bradley, John Bradley, James Bradley and William Bradley. She is also survived by her many loving nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Mary's Funeral on Wednesday, February 8, 2023 at 9 A.M. from The Carr Funeral Home, 220 Bunker Hill St. Charlestown followed by her Funeral Mass in St. Francis De Sales Church, 313 Bunker Hill St. Charlestown at 10 A.M. Her burial will take place at Holy Cross Cemetery in Malden. Her visiting hours will be on Tuesday, February 7, 2023 from 4 P.M. to 7 P.M. in the funeral home.
