HESSION Jean (Dowd) Newbert of Needham, passed away on February 1, 2023. Beloved wife of the late Robert L. Newbert and the late Leo J. Hession. Devoted mother of Robert L. Newbert Jr. and his wife Mary-Jane of Bluffton, SC., Christopher Newbert and his wife Melanie of Ocklawaha, FL., Mark Newbert and his wife Terre of Mashpee, Monica Nolan of Taunton and son-in-law Kim Nolan, and the late Marcia Whisler and her late husband Doug Whisler.
Dear sister of the late Patricia Dewey, Cornelia Moher, and Marcia McOsker. Loving grandmother of Timothy, Andrew, Jeffrey, Allison, Marcia, Benjamin, and great-grandmother of Jordan, Madeline, Maelin, Andrew, and Emma. She also leaves behind Doug's daughters Adelaide and Molly, as well as Leo’s three surviving children and their families.
Visiting hours will be held at the George F. Doherty & Sons Funeral Home 1305 Highland Ave. Needham on Friday, February 10th from 4-7pm. Funeral from the funeral home on Saturday, February 11th at 9am, followed by a Funeral Mass at St. Bartholomew Church, Needham at 10am. Interment Newton Cemetery.
