Dorothy L. Marks
Beloved wife, mother, and grandmother

TEWKSBURY: Dorothy Lorraine (Brewster) Marks, age 86, a resident of Tewksbury for 49 years, formerly of Medford, passed away at Care One Wilmington on Wednesday, February 1, 2023.

She was the beloved wife of Edmund F. Marks with whom she celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary on June 30, 2022.

Born in Medford on January 25, 1937, she was the daughter of the late James H. Brewster and the late Helena E. (Adams) Brewster.

Dorothy was raised in Medford, attended Medford schools, and graduated from Medford High School.

Prior to her retirement, she was employed by Compugraphic in Wilmington, MA.

Dorothy enjoyed traveling and taking cruise vacations with her husband to Hawaii, Aruba and the Caribbean.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by two children, Randy Thomas Marks, of Tewksbury, and Laurie A. Friberg and her husband Thomas of Dracut: five grandchildren, Justin Marks and his wife Katelyn, of Derry, NH, Nicholas Marks, of Poland, Sophia Marks, of Londonderry, NH, Hannah Kimball and Sarah Kimball, both of Dracut. She was the sister of the late Jessica M. Brooks and her late husband Wendell, the late Lester F. Brewster, the late Jennie I. Mangion and her late husband Raymond, the late Barbara Brewster, Marjorie A. (Mickey) Gordon and her late husband Robert, of Concord, NH, Elaine L. Connors , of Niagra Falls, NY, the late Richard H. Brewster, the late Patricia R. Boardman and her late husband Kenneth, the late James R. Brewster, John R. Brewster and his wife Florence M. (Peggy) (McGarrett), of North Myrtle Beach, SC, and David E. Brewster and his wife Kathleen A. (McCarthy), of Billerica. She leaves many nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
Dorothy was the mother of the late Edmund F. Marks, Jr. who passed away on November 25, 1991.

Calling hours are Tuesday, February 7th, from 4-8 p.m. at the Farmer & Dee Funeral Home, 16 Lee Street, Tewksbury. Her funeral procession will begin on Wednesday, February 8th, at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home, followed by her Funeral Mass at 11:30 a.m. St. William’s Church, 1351 Main Street, Rte. 38, Tewksbury. Services will conclude with interment at Tewksbury Cemetery, 172 East Street, Tewksbury. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the Jimmy Fund Donate Here
