Robert G. Bernard, 69, of Mystic Ave., Methuen, Mass. died Saturday, August 10, 2002 at the Holy Family Hospital in Methuen, Mass. He was born in Lowell, Mass. on September 2, 1932, a son of the late Walter R. and Marjorie (MacInnis) Bernard. He was a resident of Methuen, Mass. for the past 12 years, formerly living in Derry, NH. He was a graduate of Lawrence High School. Mr. Bernard was a US Army veteran serving during the Korean Conflict. He was employed for 20 years as a custodian for the Lawrence School District. He loved animals, was a volunteer with the MSPCA, and enjoyed country music and playing the guitar.
He is survived by the mother of his seven children, Theresa (Laurenza) Bernard of Derry, NH, five sons, Robert Bernard, Richard Bernard, Mark Bernard, Lee Bernard, Gary Bernard all of Derry, two daughters, Terrilynne Feeney, Dawn Beauschense both of Derry, 19 grandchildren, one brother, Wayne Bernard of California, one sister, Joy Edwards of Missouri, his longtime companion, Alice Kemp of Methuen, Mass., many nieces and nephews.
There are no calling hours. Following cremation, a memorial service will be held at a later date at the families convenience. The Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch St., Derry, NH is handling the arrangements.
