Esther V. Callahan, 77, of Douglas Circle, Greenville died Thursday, January 26, 2023 at her home after a long illness. She was the widow of the late John J. “Jack” Callahan.
Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Nichol and Rose (Maloney) Faccenda. She had lived in Greenville for 57 years.
Esther is survived by her son, Robert W. Callahan of Pascoag, and her sisters: Betty DelPadre of Nevada, Rose Faccenda of Maryland, a brother: Nicholas Faccenda of New York and her companion, Joe Medeiros. She was the mother of the late Michael Callahan.
Her funeral will be held Wednesday at 9am from the Anderson-Winfield Funeral Home, Rt 44 at Greenville Common, Greenville. Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in St. Philip Church, 622 Putnam Pike, Greenville. Burial will be in St. Ann’s Cemetery, Cranston. Visitation is Tuesday 5-7pm.
