Obituary

LEICESTER: Robert H. Dupuis, 80, of Pine St., died Monday, Jan. 23rd. at Webster Manor, Webster.
He leaves his wife of 57 years, Deborah A. (Black) Dupuis, his sons; Michael R. Dupuis and his wife Theresa of Leicester and William E. Dupuis and his wife Jane of Oxford, his daughter; Jane M. Barbato of Rochdale, 10 grandchildren who affectionately knew him as "Grampa"; Anthony, Nicole, Sarah, Sean, Ryan, Joseph, Meaghan, Michael, Kate & Emily.
Bob was the Safety Director at J.P. Noonan Transportation in West Bridgewater for 25 years, retiring in 2018.
He was born in Worcester, the son of Henry and Lillian (Desilets) Dupuis and later graduated from South High in Worcester, Central New England College of Technology(BS) and earned an MBA at Nichols College in Dudley. He served in the Army National Guard.
Bob was a Leicester Firefighter for 23 years, Emergency Manager and HAZMAT Coordinator for the Town of Leicester. He was a Fourth Degree member of The Knights of Columbus Council # 4528. He was a longtime hockey coach for Worcester Pee Wee Hockey in Worcester. He also was a Certified Environmental Trainer.
The family would like to thank the loving and sympathetic staff at Webster Manor and St Vincent Hospital, along with his home health care workers who cared for Bob throughout his final days.
Bob's funeral will be held on Saturday, Jan. 28 from the MORIN FUNERAL HOME, 1131 Main St., Leicester with a funeral Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Pius X Church, 1153 Main St., Leicester. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery, Leicester. Calling hours are Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. in the funeral home. Contributions may be made in Bob’s name to the Leicester Firefighters Association, 3 Paxton St., Leicester, MA 01524.
