Harold "Hal" Lewis Brewer, 78, of Tifton died Wednesday, May 31, 2006 at Tift Regional Medical Center. Memorial services will be held on Saturday, June 3, 2006 in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals. Rev. Danny Jones will officiate with a private burial at a later date.
Mr. Brewer was born on May 19, 1928 in Wichita, Kansas and was the son of Harold Bath and Louise Brewer Bath, both deceased. He was a retired research scientist at the Coastal Plains Experiment Station as well as an author. He served in the United States Air Force in the Korean War and was part of the Berlin Airlift. He had lived in Tifton for the past 36 years.
Mr. Brewer is survived by his wife, Rhonda C. Brewer of Tifton; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Janzen Hal Brewer of Tifton and Scott David and Shelly Brewer of Santa Barbara, California; two daughters, Laura Marie Brewer of Tifton and Roseann Dreasler of Austin, Texas; and seven grandchildren, Matthew Brewer, Leah Brewer, Ian Brewer, Daniel Hernandez, Valerre Hernandez, Patrick Hernandez and Alexandrea Dreasler.
