Joyce T. Hall, 61, of Fitzgerald, Georgia, died Thursday, June 1, 2006 at Dorminy Medical Center.
Funeral services will be held at 11 AM, Saturday, June 3, at Eastside Holiness Baptist Church, with Rev. Edsel Young, Rev. Kenneth Mathews and Rev. Harold Barnes officiating. Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7-9, Friday evening at the funeral home.
Mrs. Hall was born December 11, 1944, in Ben Hill County, Georgia to the late G.W. and Lucille Swann Taylor. After the death of her parents, she was raised by S.E. and Ruby Gunter. Mrs. Hall lived in Fitzgerald most of her life. She was a homemaker and former employee of Wal-Mart. Mrs. Hall was a member of Eastside Holiness Baptist Church and very active with the Cotton Mill Reunion. She was a member of the Gray Hawk Cherokee Indian Clan of Fitzgerald and held the honorable position of clan mother and always will be.
Mrs. Hall is survived by her husband: Joseph Gladeston Hall of Fitzgerald; sons and daughters-in-law: Tony & Dianne Jenkins of Fitzgerald, Jason Guy of Fitzgerald and Jody & Hope Hall of Ambrose; daughter & son-in-law: Lynn & Jeff Brewer of Fitzgerald; 9 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; niece: Suedene Hodges; and 3 nephews: Robert Rowe, Gene Rowe, and Troy Rowe. She was preceded in death by a sister, Eloise Rowe.
