Obituary




Concetta M. (Chiarenza) Giullo, lifelong resident of Medford, passed away on Sunday, January 22nd. She was 97. Born in Boston, she was the cherished daughter of the late Joseph and Maria (Analora) Chiarenza.

Connie enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. She loved to have them all gather at her house and enjoy her homemade delicacies. She looked forward to her yearly trip to Disney with her family. When Connie was not spending time with her family, she enjoyed watching her daily games shows, reading a good book, listening to Mario Lanza sing, and sewing.

Connie was the beloved wife of the late Carmine M. Giullo. She was the devoted mother of Patricia Dembowski and her husband Henry of Medford, Debora Surprise and her husband Richard of Billerica, and Marie Araujo and her husband Mario of Tewksbury. She was the loving Grandma of Paul, Laura, David, Daniel, Steven and Matthew, and the Nana of Jake and Tyler. She was the dear sister of the late Mary Iacozza, and Anthony and Joseph Chiarenza. She is survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

Connie’s funeral will be from the Dello Russo Family Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, Wednesday, February 1st at 10 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Clement Church, 71 Warner St., Medford, at 11 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Tuesday, January 31st, from 4 to 8 PM. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
