Edvige “Maria” Gentile, of Somerville, formerly of the North End of Boston, January 20th. Beloved wife of the late Pasquale Gentile. Loving mother of Moreno “George” Gentile and his wife Lina of Woburn. Loving grandmother of Laura, Mark and Brian and great grandmother of Mark Jr., Dante, Steven and Matteo. Dear sister of Ernesta Grossi and her husband Edward of Medford and Elena Alessandro and her husband John of Melrose. Maria has been a resident of Somerville for the past 45 years. She worked as a Seamstress for Forecaster of Boston for many years. Maria enjoyed cooking and most of all enjoyed spending time with her family. Relatives & friends are invited to attend her funeral from the Breslin Funeral Home, 610 Pleasant St., Malden on Friday January 27th at 9 AM followed by her Funeral Mass celebrated at Immaculate Conception Church, 610 Pleasant St., Malden at 10 AM. Services will conclude with entombment in Woodlawn Cemetery in Everett. Visitation will be held at the funeral home prior to the Mass on Friday only.
